The most cost effective type of actuators is our frameless voice coil actuator (MMA SERIES).
Frameless means that the bearing is not provided with the actuator. This allows engineers to optimise their design and embed the motor in a way that is best suited for their application. These actuators are also applicable in applications in a vacuum environment. With a frameless voice coil actuator you can count on a motor with high speed, high force density, high reliability and a long lifetime.

High Speed Linear Actuator
Our actuators achieve high speeds thanks to their advanced moving magnet actuator (MMA) technology, which allows for rapid acceleration and precise control over linear motion. By directly driving the magnet rather than relying on traditional mechanical components, friction is minimized, enabling faster response times.
The Technology
Voice Coil Actuators consist of 2 main components, the coil assembly and the mover assembly. By applying a voltage across the 2-wire connection of the actuator it will move in one direction. Consequently, reversing the polarity of the applied voltage will move the actuator in the opposite direction. Moreover, the generated force is proportional to the current that flows through the coil. This force is almost constant in the specified stroke range of the actuator.
Moving Magnet Voice Coil Actuator
There are two main types of voice coil actuators, moving magnet actuators and moving coil actuators. As the name implies, for moving magnet actuators the coil is fixated and the magnet moves. As for the moving coil actuator, the magnet core is fixed and the coil moves.
Moving Magnet Actuator excels over the traditional actuator with respect to durability, efficiency and achievable stroke length. It also creates a better thermal path as heat is generated on the outside static part. This prevents the coil from overheating, giving it a much higher force density.
Our High Speeds Linear Actuators with operating voltages up to 48 Vdc and peak forces reaching up to 111,515 N, our actuators can generate high-speed motion even under substantial loads. Additionally, the lightweight design, with moving masses as low as 0.0063 kg, ensures quick transitions between positions, making these actuators ideal for high-speed industrial and automation applications.
