Voice coil actuators can simultaneously achieve high precision, fast acceleration and high speed over a defined stroke. Making it the ideal motor for engineers who want precise, repeatable and controllable linear motion for their applications.
A key advantage of a moving magnet voice coil actuator is that they are very reliable and durable. This is, in comparison to moving coil Actuators, due to the lack of moving wires. Because these actuators have the coil assembly on the outer diameter, they have the advantage that a cooling sleeve can be added to the Outer diameter improving it’s capability to produce higher levels of force. This is particularly interesting for high force applications.
The moving magnet voice coil actuators also feature very low mechanical friction, low mechanical Mechanical wear and zero stick-slip.

MMB Motor Controller
The MMB series of Electrical Linear Actuators is designed to work seamlessly with our dedicated motor controller, enabling sensorless position control without the need for an external encoder. This innovative controller simplifies the setup, requiring only two wires for power and position control, making it exceptionally efficient. Compact and powerful, this controller can drive Moving Magnet VCAs of up to 1 kW, all within a matchbox-sized package.
