Compact actuator for dynamic linear motion

The MMA 3035 is a frameless compact moving magnet actuator designed for short-stroke applications requiring fast and accurately controlled linear movement. With an outer diameter of 30 mm, a 7 mm stroke and a moving mass of only 70 grams, the actuator is particularly suited for applications where both installation space and moving mass need to be minimized.

Its moving magnet configuration combines a stationary coil with a lightweight moving magnet assembly. This supports a highly responsive motion profile.

MMA 3035 Specifics

The MMA 3035 delivers a continuous force of 19.4 N at the middle position under natural convection conditions. With a force constant of 5.9 N/A at the middle position, the actuator provides a predictable relationship between applied current and generated force, supporting accurate force and motion control.

As a frameless actuator, the MMA 3035 gives engineers the flexibility to incorporate the mover directly into their own guiding and positioning system. This makes it a suitable building block for compact automation, positioning and other high-dynamic linear motion applications including pneumatic cylinder replacement where seal wear degrades performance and life expectancy.

The moving magnet voice coil actuators also feature very low mechanical friction, low mechanical wear and zero stick-slip.
