These frameless torque motors directly drive the load which eliminates the use of a transmission or a gearbox. As a result, the amount of moving parts in the system is reduced tremendously, increasing the efficiency. Thereby creating a quiet and high dynamic operation and a very high life expectancy. Furthermore, geared motors have relatively higher inertia. This means that a relatively higher amount of torque is required to accelerate the motor itself, and less torque remains to accelerate the load. For direct drive torque motors inertia is low. This makes the motors very suitable for high speed acceleration applications, with fast starts and stops.

Consequently, our 250mm frameless high torque motor, the MI-F 250 mm, has a peak torque range of 121-400 Nm and a continuous torque range of 42-208 Nm. Furthermore, for demanding applications, additional cooling options can be integrated. As a result, we can effectively maintain the high performance and continuous torque necessary, even for these demanding applications.
